| FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Dolphin Wins Essex County GOLDSunday 21st January 2007On Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st January 2007 Witham Dolphins sent the largest team to date along to the first round of this years county championships during the weekend of 20th January 2007. The event resulted in some outstanding performances with pride of place going to Lauren Baker who became 11 year old County Breaststroke Champion achieving a two second personal best time in qualifying for the final only to knock another 0.5 of a second in achieving an even better time in the final. Jenny Slater, Lauren's Coach, was “over the moon” with her performances on the day. Catherine Lumley obtained three top 10 finishes in the girls 16 and over events. Excellent swims were also achieved by Gemma Wass, Michael Harrison, Sarah Purnell, Alex Cuff and Myles Florey who all succeeded in obtaining personal best performances. Good swims were also made by Lauren Flight, Katie Stratton, Lauren Egg and Matt Bilbey. Head Coach Paul Robbins was delighted with the clubs swimmers performances especially as they were competing against the best in Essex and shows how the club are continuing to progress.
