On Saturday 13 January 2007 Witham Dolphins held the Annual Ball and Presentation Evening at Maldon Golf Club with 130 attending. We were delighted that Margaret and John Gibson were able to attend and present the James Gibson Award on behalf of our most famous swimmer so far together with our Club President Roger Alexander and Paul Robbins our Head Coach.

The evening is aimed at acknowledging the achievements of our swimmers during the last 12 months with over 700 Personal Best Times achieved. Success came to the following swimmers who obtained National, Regional and County rankings Matt Bilbey, Myles Florey, Jordan Jowitt, Lauren Baker, Sarah Purnell, Hannah Flight, Emily Bulleid, Katie Stratton, Catherine Lumley and Hannah Ueckermann.

During November the club held its club championships with the top five swimmers in each stroke and age group receiving awards. In December the club hold the Annual Ric Oram Memorial Gala which is a charity event and a sum of £100 was raised for the Great Ormond Street Hospital the charity chosen by Jacob Oram who also presented medals to the winning team.
