Dolphins Continue To Climb!

Saturday 19th February 2005

On Saturday 19 February 2005 saw the Team from Witham Dolphins Swimming Club take part in the third round of the Essex Sprint League (ESL) at their home pool, Bramston Sports Centre, Witham Essex. 

Competing against four team’s from Halstead, Eltham, Dagenham & Leyton the Witham team got off to a flying start winning three of the first six races.   More first placing’s continued to be achieved with a total of eleven being won by the end of the Evening and a huge crop of 26 Personal Bests. 

Congratulations must go to all our First Place Individual & Relay swimmers namely, Jordan Jowitt, Katie Stratton, Myles Florey, Catherine Lumley, Matthew Bilbey, Lauren Baker, Joe Brumwell, Nathan Bentley, Michael Harrison, Steve Pollett, Jacob Oram, & Troy Lloyd Warne. 

Head Coach Paul Robbins said “We had some really excellent swims during the evening and every member of the team played an important part in helping towards gaining our overall placing”  Final results were as follows,   1st - HALSTEAD 188, 2nd - WITHAM 162, 3rd - ELTHAM 130,  4th -  DAGENHAM 129,  5th - LEYTON 110.
