FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE QUICKSILVER JOWITTSunday 31st October 2004On Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 October 2004 Jordan Jowitt (aged 17 years) a Witham Dolphins A-Squad Swimmer and a talented student of the Sandon School Sixth Form took part in the Essex County Swimming Championships where he produced an avalanche of stunning performances during a full weekend's swimming. Achieving a personal best time in the morning heats ensured him a good lane draw which subsequently produced a SILVER Medal finals placing in the 50 Metre Butterfly. After the event Jordan knew that his swim was fast but the medal placing was totally un-expected due to the very high level of competition. Jordan also went on to swim in the 100 & 200 Metre Fly and a 100 Metre Individual Medley during the weekend events and again produced NEW Personal Bests in each race. Proud mum, Carol Jowitt, explained that her son Jordan has enjoyed many achievements whilst with the club, the Essex Silver ranks highly among them. She went on to say that Jordan has always enjoyed training hard and being part of the team. "The day that Jordan says he no longer enjoys training will be the end of his swimming, but you can clearly see that with hard work and determination, the many hours of effort put really does pay off and the results start to happen".
