Canvey Sprint Open - Saturday 6th June
We had a great day's swimming at the Canvey Island Summer Sprint Meet, held at Blackshots. 19 Dolphins did us
proud - 2 of out younger swimmers, Nicole Hull and Ciaran Geraghty, swimming in an 'open' gala for the first time.
A very well organised event - and we came home with plenty of medals and some great PBs!! A total of 29 top 6
placings and 27 PBs recorded! Matt S and Grace came 1st in their respective 50 fly events, and James was 1st in
the 50 breast. In addition, Hannah and Matt swam all 5 races available to them and gained 5 'top 6' placings;
James, Mat H and Joe also gained top 6 placings in each race they swam
and Jaymee and Rebecca swam PB times in all of their races!. See the

Colchester Open - Saturday 23rd May
Many of our Dolphins - and their parents - braved the sweltering conditions of LeisureWorld to take part
in the Open Gala at Colchester. For three of our younger swimmers - Amber Adamson, Thomas Latham and
Chris Stott - this was their first 'open' gala. See the

ASA East Regional Championships - 2009
Witham Dolphins was represented by 3 of our A* swimmers at last weekend's ASA East Regional Youth
Championships 2009, held at UEA Pool Norwich. Our trio of Lauren Baker, Lauren Flight and Jenny Stott had
each qualified for 3 events. All swam to a high standard against an impressive field - Jenny making 2 finals,
finishing 3rd in the 100m breast final and 7th in the 50m breast final. Further details and results can be found on the

Redbridge L3 Open - Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th April
Another great day for the Dolphins with nine medals including a second,
two thirds, a fourth, two fifths and three sixths, as well as
sixteen PB's.

Southend Easter Open - Friday 10th April
A very tiring day but, as always, our swimmers
did their best, reflected in the number of PBs obtained on the
day. 6 top 6 placings (4 for Lauren Flight); 19
PBs; and 17 events/distances where swimmers were competing for
the first time and recorded a time.

James Gibson's visit - Sunday 22nd March 2009
Following his success in the Men's 100M Breaststroke at the British
Championships in Sheffield where he again qualified for the
World Championships ex-Dolphin James Gibson MBE took the
opportunity to deliver on his promise at the Annual Ball to come
and visit the Dolphins. Checkout the
